Summary
NightPause keeps your information on your iPhone. It has no accounts and no servers, and it does not collect analytics or show ads.
What NightPause stores on your device
- Your bedtime, wake time and schedules.
- Your app settings, such as reminders and break length.
- A history of NightPause's own sessions: when a scheduled window or focus session ran, whether restrictions were applied, the breaks you started, and nights you skipped or ended early. Entries older than 60 days are removed automatically.
- Your optional morning check-in answers.
- Whether a NightPause Plus subscription is active, and when it expires.
- Your selection of apps, categories and websites to pause, in the protected form Apple provides (see below).
This information is stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone, in an area shared only with NightPause's own Screen Time extensions. It is not sent to the publisher or to anyone else. It may be included in your device backups, which are governed by your backup settings with Apple.
Screen Time
With your permission, NightPause uses Apple's Screen Time features to pause the apps you choose during the times you set.
- You choose apps in a picker provided by Apple. NightPause receives anonymous tokens for your choices. It cannot see which apps, categories or websites you selected.
- NightPause does not read your app usage, browsing history or screen time totals.
- You can withdraw permission at any time in Settings › Screen Time.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, NightPause schedules them on your device. No notification content leaves your device.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. NightPause does not receive your name, payment details or Apple Account. It learns only which subscription product is active and when it expires. Apple's handling of purchase information is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
If you email us
If you contact support, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to fix the problem you report, and we don't add you to any mailing list.
This website
These pages are hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical details of each visit, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. We have not added analytics, advertising or tracking cookies to these pages.
What NightPause does not do
- The app does not collect personal data, usage analytics, crash analytics, advertising identifiers or location.
- It does not share or sell data, because it does not receive any.
- It does not use third-party SDKs.
- It does not infer or record sleep or health information. NightPause is a focus tool, not a medical product.
Deleting your data
Settings › Delete local data removes everything NightPause has stored on your iPhone and lifts any restriction in effect. Deleting the app also removes its data. Subscriptions are managed in your App Store account settings.
Children
NightPause is intended for adults aged 18 and over who manage their own device. It is not directed at children, and it collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
